Black and White Portraits

Working from a meaningful photo, or even sometimes a combination of photos, black and white portraits are made using a mix of watercolor, chalk, charcoal and sometimes gouache. Finding a balance between photo accuracy and hand painted charm, I put in a lot of love and care to ensure that I properly capture the essence of the subjects.
